strawberry fields, forever

'Picking strawberries' was the only thing on my to-do list last weekend. We picked 6lbs and I was initially disappointed in the fact that we didn't pick more, but they were so ripe that I had to work all day to prep/freeze all that we had.

I froze smaller strawberry bits so that (hopefully) making the sherbet won't kill our appliances this time. I made some more strawberry sauce cubes because I am digging those in lemonade, limeade, and summery cocktails. We had daiquiris in the afternoon and strawberries and cream for dessert after dinner. Berger even got in on the yums.








In conclusion, after eating strawberries on the same day that we picked them convinced me that there's no other way to have them.
